It's never too late to adopt healthier habits to keep up your energy levels 

We live in a world that normalizes a frantic lifestyle. Working long hours under pressure is put forward as routine and normal. While many of us work desk-based jobs sitting all day and not expending much energy, it tends to leave us drained and worn out. It is important to take stock and re-evaluate our daily routines, seeing how we can make changes to improve our quality of life.
In order to limit damage from stress to our bodies and minds, adopting good habits early on in life is important. For those who didn't do this in our youth, to paraphrase an ancient proverb, the second best time to start is now.

It's never too easy to discard an old one or adopt a new way of doing things but with a sustained effort, you stand a better chance of success. 
Below are four simple tips to get you started. 
1. Drink more water 
Changes don't have to be big, it could be drinking more water, keeping a chilled full bottle to hand in order to keep rehydrated. Drinking enough water is essential for the proper function of each and every cell in the body. 
2. Choose the right diet 
Take a look at your diet. Does it include enough vital nutrients? Studies show that multivitamins that help with energy yielding metabolism include niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 while folic acid supports the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. 
3. Get enough sleep 
Too many of us neglect to get enough sleep or to make it a priority. The best way to get plenty of sleep is to stick to a routine, going to sleep at a set time each night and awakening at a naturel stage in our sleep cycle. However, throwing away the alarm clock isn't something most of us have the luxury of, so planning your sleep to get eight hours is a good aim. 
For those needing an energy boost during the day, naps are an effective way to re-energise. However, taking more than 20-30 minutes could leave you with trouble sleeping at night.
