Seven Seas is pleased to be a member of several professional bodies.
Seven Seas is a full member of the Proprietary Association of Great Britain (PAGB) (www.pagb.co.uk).
The PAGB is the UK trade association for manufacturers of branded over-the-counter medicines and food supplements.
Over-the-counter refers to medicines that can be bought in pharmacies and in other retail outlets without a prescription. Some of the medicines can only be sold in pharmacies and pharmacists are required to supervise their sales and ask questions before supplying them to customers.
Established in 1919, the association was founded to promote responsible consumer healthcare by controlling the advertising of all the medicines of the companies in membership through a code of advertising practice. This remains a core activity for the association although the PAGB Medicines Advertising Code now sits within a legal framework.
For more than 20 years, PAGB's research and policy development has focused on framing self-care as a level of care in the NHS and its policies.
We are also members of The Council for Responsible Nutrition, ensuring that all Seven Seas product formulations and marketing activities are compliant with UK and EU legislation.
