Question 1. How do I know which JointCare® supplement would be best for me?

All seven products in the Seven Seas JointCare® range contain glucosamine plus cod liver oil or fish oil, both of which provide omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. Use this Comparison Chart to compare amounts and additional ingredients in each product.

Question 2. What is ProJoint Formula?

Projoint Formula is a patented combination of vitamins, minerals (including calcium) and amino acids that are important for building and maintaining strong, healthy bones. It is added to glucosamine, chondroitin and cod liver oil in the Seven Seas JointCare® Projoint Formula product to care for joints, muscles and bones.

Question 3. Can I take any of the products in the JointCare® range with my prescribed medicine?

Seven Seas JointCare® is a range of food supplements formulated to supply important nutrients that are not always easy to obtain from diet in sufficient amounts. However, as with all supplements you should always consult your GP and pharmacist concerning drug interactions if you are taking any medication.

Question 4. Have any side effects been noted with any of the products in the JointCare® range?

No side effects have been seen during testing of these products or their ingredients. If you have a fish allergy then these products should be avoided. If you experience or have any symptoms which you think pertain to the consumption of the JointCare® range you should stop and consult your doctor before continuing usage.

Question 5. Are JointCare® products safe to take in pregnancy?

Women who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy should consult their doctor before taking any vitamin or mineral supplements.

Question 6. What reassurance can you give on the purity of JointCare® products?

All Seven Seas cod liver oil is refined using the patented Ocean Gold refining process that guarantees the purest product. Seven Seas glucosamine and chondroitin are derived from the purest marine sources and quality is assured by the Seven Seas guarantee.

Question 7. On-pack JointCare® dosage recommendations vary - on ProJoint Formula for example, between one and four capsules a day. How do I know how much to take?

On-pack recommendations vary to take account of individual needs. We suggest you start with the lowest intake and only increase if and when you feel it is necessary. We advise you not to exceed the maximum recommended intake.

Question 8. Lorem Will I experience any fishy taste or aftertaste if I take products containing cod liver oil or fish oil?

Taste and after-taste problems are extremely rare with Seven Seas refined cod liver and fish oils. We recommend you take the capsules with cold liquid.

Question 9. Where can I get authoritative, independent advice on joints?

If you are experiencing joint problems, we suggest you contact your doctor in the first instance. You can also obtain information and advice from websites and leaflets.

Question 11. I am allergic to shellfish. Is it safe for me to take JointCare®?

The glucosamine in JointCare® is derived from shellfish and it is possible that a reaction may occur if you are allergic to shellfish. Consult your doctor or allergy specialist before taking this product.
