Death Valley Jack
Jack Denness completes Death Valley as the oldest man ever to finish the race!
Jack Denness completed the toughest race of its kind in 59 hours, 13 minutes.
Jack successfully crossed the finishing line, following the brutal 135 mile stretch of highway in scorching temperatures. He now owns the “oldest man ever” record for the completion of the Badwater Ultra marathon.
The Seven Seas Cod Liver Oil Team are all so proud of Jack!!
This July, Jack Denness, Kent's answer to Forrest Gump will be running the 135 mile AdventureCORPS Badwater Ultramarathon across the Death Valley. Not that impressive? "People do that all the time" I hear you cry! Not when they're 75 years old and breaking their own world record all in the name of their local charity they don't!
Death Valley Jack as he has become known after completing the race no less that 14 times, is finally hanging up his trainers after one last attempt at the world's toughest marathon.
So what's this got to do with Usain Bolt, the fastest man alive? Well Usain may be fast but we'd like to see him running the equivalent of London to Birmingham in 45 degree heat when he's 75!! So while Usain has 1.8 million fans on Facebook, we think Death Valley Jack actually deserves your support more and the more fans he gets the more money, his sponsor, Seven Seas Cod Liver Oil, will donate to Cerebral Palsy Care of Cliffe Woods.
So ask your friends, family, dog and cat to help Death Valley Jack get more fans than Usain Bolt -- go on make his day!!
