According to recent research, reported in the daily newspapers Omega 3 fatty acids found in fish oils can help protect against heart conditions, mental decline and blindness due to old age.
According to the Daily Mail, Nutritionist Dr Carrie Ruxton said “If this link between high omega-3 fatty acid levels and reduced ageing is confirmed in other studies, this has important implications for intakes of omega 3 fatty acids.”
Dr Ruxton also said “Britons fail to consume recommended minimum levels of two fish portions each week, one of which must be oily.”
